So- I am not sure if you avid blog-followers remember that- too gorgeous for words- couple from last summer…..that steamy – rodeo cowboy and his love- engagement shoot. Well, guess what time is is? Time for the unveiling of their BRIDE/GROOM images! Sarah (also one of my very best friends in the world) is as un-traditional as they come concerning her nuptuals. This shoot- in true Wedding Day attire- occured an entire week before their wedding. They have chosen to have a very small and intimate ceremony, followed by a huge party at Ty’s parent’s ranch- where Sarah will change into a sassy party dress. Speaking of ‘THE DRESS’….there is a little back story I would like to give concerning the dress featured in this image. For those who have not been exposed to our Sassy Sarah- I have to inform you that Sarah is an absolute fashionista. Style and Fashion are her gift. I knew that gown shopping was going to be a monumental task. I was sure that we would have to have a weekend in New York and come home with a 10,000 Couture Gown. Because Sarah simply will not settle for something ordinary when it comes to her fashion. She had a very clear idea of what she wanted to look like. There were numerous stipulations, but most importantly, she wanted to have an antique/vintage feel to her look. One day we were downtown and happened to walk into an antique store on Main Street. I saw Sarah gazing up above a rack of vintage clothing and hanging there was a dress. I said- “GET IT DOWN!” I made her try it on without looking at herself. It fit so perfectly that the last inch of zipper was tough to get up. I looked at her- and gasped…..”You found your gown.” So- long story short- Sarah, the fashionista, found this gown in a antique store on Saturday afternoon….for 85.00. Unbelievable.
Back to the more important topic- Sarah and Ty are soul mates. When you are around them, you feel luckiness radiating from them. Both of them….Lucky…..Lucky to have found each other- one truly the other’s ONE. They are the perfect mix of humor, logic, ease, fiestiness and romance. That man also loves Sarah’s little girl Mia like she is his own. You can see it every time he looks at her. It is heartwarming….and inspiring.
After their stunning conceptual engagement shoot- I felt the pressure to make their Bride/Groom images as inspired. Our original plan fell through, so one cloudy afternoon, we rode around until we found these three spots along a country road in the middle of nowhere. This is what I always envisioned wedding images should look like. I am ecstatic that I was able to put my vision onto film- so to speak. Following the BRIDE/GROOM feature is the images from the actual nuptuals. This ceremony was one of the most personal, unique, emotional and intimate I have ever been a part of. There was not a dry eye in the house- between the emotional song by their close friend being sung as the Bridal Party came down the aisle, and the personal vows, and the 10 Things I Love About You list, and the moment when Ty got down on his knee and gave Mia (Sarah’s daughter) a ring and told her why he loved her so much and was so happy to be her step-dad…..none of us had much of a chance of holding back the tears. So…here they are. The Ferrells.

NOW FOR THE ACTUAL NUPTUALS…………..

Mom of the Groom…..

This sweet Paducah newborn was one of the best 2 week models that I have had yet. We shot in a beautifully decorated Paducah home, so the character that was infused by the decor only added to the feel of the shoot! I can’t wait until I am able to post more!! Stay Tuned….
