This shoot was special to me for numerous reasons. First of all, these babies belong to my dear friend Heather and are best friends to my babies. Secondly, I know that the connection between these children and their grandmothers on each side is very special and needed to be captured for so many reasons. With that said, enjoy [A GRANDMOTHERS' LOVE].

The post that follows this warning/explaination is that of a series of conceptual shoots that I shot to present my {e dolce sassy} branch. WARNING: These images below range from mild to lingerie shots- if this would be offensive to you, please scroll quickly past it! This branch is BOUDOIR PORTRAITURE- the definition of BOUDOIR is ( A style of print that is normally a lingerie style or an implied nude glamour or similar shot in an indoor, bedroom setting.) I am first and foremost a BABY & CHILD photographer- which is my true passion. However, after holding numerous “SASSY SHOOT” days filled with ladies that we swooped up, did wardrobe styling, professional hair and makeup and did a mini shoot that made them feel beautiful- I decided that a branch of my business was needed to offer many levels of boudoir photography. There is a large spectrum of buodoir photography. It ranges from complete nudity (which I have chosen is not for me), lingerie, and sassy/sexy wardrobe to just beautiful headshots of women looking and feeling their best and being captured. The E DOLCE SASSY {FANTASY/CONCEPTUAL} series was created to bring attention to the new branch. I have chosen to post it on my blog to allow the public to know that I now offer these private shoots to individual women. I wanted to give this explanation because I did not want the first post a new client saw to be E DOLCE SASSY and assume that this is all that I do. I wanted a warning for those clients who might not appreciate this type of art. Like I said, I am first and foremost a BABY/CHILD photographer, but have chosen to offer ladies an unique BOUDOIR experience that could range from super mild (just a pretty/sassy headshot) to a little more risqué like a lingerie shoot. This is a type of photography that celebrates a woman and her beauty.
E DOLCE SASSY is the newest secret of Bella Bambino…..Here is a sneak peak of what E DOLCE SASSY will bring. In this newest conceptual series, I wanted to feature each woman in an environment that wouln’t typically be deemed “sexy or sassy”. Through styling, set and imagery, my goal was to turn these typical environments and or tasks into something high-fashion and super sassy. I wanted to bring GLAM into some Non-Glam environments! In collaboration with the amazingly talented wardrobe artist of GYPSY RHYTHM and hair and makeup artist Rachael Watkins a story was created for each subject. A description of each story will preceed each concept. ENJOY and keep your eyes peeled for the official launch of E DOLCE SASSY by Bella Bambino.
CONCEPT {the supermodel red bird} STORY: A supermodel escapes from a hectic photoshoot. She finds a nest-like environment,…..she wants freedom that mimics that of a bird. She nests while she takes a cigarette break.

CONCEPT {Ssssy 50′s Housewife} STORY: This housewife takes her duties to an new level by performing her daily tasks of cooking and cleaning in super sassy stilettos, skinny jeans and a sweater that leaves little to the imagination. When she needs a break from her tasks, she lights up a cigarette -like they did in the 50′s- and has a martini.

CONCEPT {The Laundress} STORY: This woman has simply run out of clothing. She has such a hectic life as a socialite that she has no time for boring tasks such as laundry. However, when all that she has left is her lingerie, it is time for her to suck it up and hit the laundry mat.

CONCEPT {The Gas Station Diva} STORY: This gas station attendant does not look like that typical pump technician. When she needs a break from her work, she relaxes on her “creeper” as they call it in the industry.

CONCEPT {The Executive} STORY: This executive has been working overtime, and she is exhausted. She needs a break and is loosening up before a night out on the town for some cocktails. First, she needs to clean up the mess that she has made with her office files strewn all over.

CONCEPT {The Broken-Down Bohemian} STORY: This beautiful bohemian just lost her gig as guitar player at the local bar. She is down on her luck and out of money. She sits on all of her posessions as she hopes that she gets a ride to her next gig.

CONCEPT {The Dumped Prom Queen} STORY: After prom, this beautiful prom queen was dumped by the prom king. Being the stubborn woman that she is, she refuses her ride home from him, so she is forced to walk the streets home heartbroken in her stilettos.

This is one of the most beautiful baby boys that I have ever shot. He is overflowing with spirit and personality. Enjoy a few of my favorites of him!

I had the privilage to photograph the heros of the Southeast Missouri Fire Department. These men risk their lives everytime a fire occurs in our area. They deserve to be commended and I felt that their work needed to be captured. I worked in collaboration with the SEMO RED CROSS for their event named the RED CROSS EXPERIENCE. These images were used in a slideshow depicting how the RED CROSS impacts lives affected by house fires.

Friday night…..at the sweet little coffee and wine shop that is know as Cup N Cork- Bella Bambino took over. =) Between the live acoustic guitar star Jefferson Fox playing up a storm, the wine and gourmet snacks being devoured and the exciting buzz surrounding the new displays of Bella Bambino Art, the night was nothing short of a HUGE SUCCESS. The three conceptual shoots – WORDS IN ASHES, A COWBOY’S LOVE & SNEAKY LITTLE CUPID were a huge draw to a new crowd of people who appreciate Art but had not been exposed to Bella Bambino prior to the evening! Thanks to TEAM BELLA (Jenny Knoderer with Hoopla Strategies, Sarah Holden, Sarah Bandermann and Becki Arends) who helped pull it all together. Also- a special bit of appreciation goes out to the amaingly talented charcoal artist- Ben Schlenker who is now doing Fine Art Charcoal renditions of Bella Bambino Art exclusively for Bella clients. Ben’s work was premiered at the show and he was a big helper with setting up the event. Below are a few images that were snapped by Sarah B during the event…..more to come!
