As I mentioned in the first sneak peak post about out tatoo project, I am collaborating with Olivia Cabrera on a coffee table book featuring professional athletes, their tatoos and the stories behind them. The athletes that we had the chance to work with on our first round in Phoenix, AZ were amazing! One of the most comical things about the whole experience was the fact that I know NOTHING about professional sports. I never watch. SO….although these men are all very well known in the sports world, I had no clue who they were. For some reason, they all found this hilarious. While shooting, my questions were… “what sport do you play?” “do you run fast, or bat good, or what?” =) Regardless, the fact that I was not star-struck certainly allowed me to shoot without any nerves interfereing! Overall, the trip was super successful and so much fun! We certainly mixed business and good times as some of the athletes ended up joining us out on the town after the shoots! Stay tuned for more updates on our project! PS….Here is the list of our athletes- Matt Barnes (Phoenix Suns), Brian Anderson and Jermaine Dye (Chicago White Sox), Bill Hall (Milwakee Brewers), Ryan Sweeney (Oakland As), Justin Miller (San Fran Giants), Joey Gathright (Chicago Cubs) and Andy Sisco. ENJOY!!!

I am in Phoenix, Arizona collaborating with an amazing project partner, Olivia Cabrerra. I am the creative part of the project and she is the business end! Olivia is the mastermind behind the idea and I am the artist to help bring it together! =) The project is a high end, fine art coffee table book featuring professional athletes and their body art and the stories behind it. Yesterday, in the downtown nooks and crannies, I had the opportunity to shoot an amazing athlete, Ryan Sweeney of the Oakland A’s. He was the perfect model and had an amazingly laid back attitude about having his shirt off in the streets! Here are a few of his shots featuring his impressive body art. The stories behind the art is as impressive as the art itself. ENJOY the first sneak peak of our athlete subjects.

Ok- so, by now, everyone probably realizes that when I shoot, I certainly make clients…especially seniors, step outside of the box…..sometimes that means laying on your back in a pile of garbage….or laying on your stomach in a dirty broken down building in a white dress….or just taking your beautiful curly locks and frizzing them out like crazy…..ALL three of these things were experienced by the amazing senior that I shot today! I am so excited about her shoot, it is unreal! Some people the camera just loves…what can I say! Here is a sneak peak- I couldn’t resist! I will feature her whole session after she sees them!!

First, I have to say, I do believe that I have the best clients that any business could possibly have….maybe I am just partial, but I believe it! I hear so many clients talking about blog posts that they look at every day and about how their walls have a whole new look since they visited Bella Bambino….SO….In honor of all past clients who both are faithful blog watchers and have Bella Bambino Art adorning their walls, I am holding a fun contest! The BELLA BAMBINO DECOR CONTEST is a on! I have walked into clients homes before and was just astonished at the collages and diplays of the art of their children. As most of you know, I do believe that the contemporary, fine-art images of your favorite little people are the best choice of decor! The question is….who has the best display of BELLA BAMBINO images in their house??? It does not matter who has the MOST images displayed, or if it is some crazy creative display…..we just want to see HOW you have displayed your BELLA BAMBINO ART. You may just take the prize because we think that it is the coolest, most artsy, most creative….or just simply looks the best to our eye! Me as well as my photographers from my 3 other branches will be the judges for half of the score and the other half will be voted on by the public! THE PRIZE…….$$$$200.00 Bella Bambino Bucks! So….right now….break out your camera and snap a few shots of your display of your BELLA BAMBINO ART! Shoot me an email with your image attatched along with your name and your children’s names and add a little note about how you feel about your Bella Bambino Art display! The contest will run from TODAY, SUNDAY- March 15th until SUNDAY, March 29th. HAPPY SNAPPING! EMAIL YOUR IMAGE TO sherigrippo@gmail.com If you have any questions call the studio at 573.651.4408.

So, for the past few months I have been lucky enough to share the art of my craft with an amazing lady. After meeting her and instantly bonding, we decided that Mobile, Alabama could use a little bella bambino…..the rest is history! She has been working so hard to excell in photography…..and after she unveiled her practice shoot to me….I believe the work has paid off! I am officially debuting Jennifer’s photography on the Bella Blog! She has a unique eye and is not afraid to step outside of the box, which will make her not just a recorder of memories, but an artist. I am so proud of her and her accomplishments so far. Enjoy her work below! PS- We will be shooting in Mobile, Alabama and parts of Mississippi at the end of April!! To contact our Mobile office call 251.510.1708.

For some reason, I think the title of this blog post is hilarious! =) Anyway, I really did have the privilege of “shooting” a Missouri senator yesterday (the non-violent type of shooting, of course). Senator Crowell needed some new headshots, so I decided to do a few typical ”senator” looking images and a few bella bambino “senator” images! There was a lot of laughing….a lot of zoo-lander head turns, “confused dog” chin tilts and even some horsey sounds to get what we needed! I think that we nailed it! ENJOY!!

Little baby Addison came for a shoot recently and she just made me melt from the first giggle! I knew as soon as I saw her huge blue eyes and rosy little cheeks, that magic would be made that day! I think that I was right! We combined Addison’s 6 month shoot with her parent’s “love” feature! It was an amazingly windy day, which created a few comical images! We had a great afternoon and some funny experiences, in an attempt to show my subjects how to sit in a rustic area of an alleyway, I got a huge gob of an unknown substance all over my jeans and was so disgusted I ran all the way back to the studio (with a limp) like that was going to help! Also, Addison’s mom is not a fan of germs and dirt to say the least….so when I told her she had to lay down in an alleyway on gross clothes just left there, her facial expression was unforgettable!! I told her to trust me….and the sacrafice would be worth it! One of their favorite images resulted!! ENJOY!!

The image below is the laying down in trash image that I talked about above!

The image below is one of those funny out-takes that I love so much! The wind was violent and it shows here!

Here are some of my favorites from my last Senior Rep session with the beautiful Adeline! Check it out! ALSO- DON’T FORGET about the BELLA COUTURE [seniors] LAUNCH PARTY on Friday Night at 7pm!! Come on out for some crazy deals, drawings and contests!!

So- if you have seen my last few senior posts, I have been loving this gross abandoned warehouse for seniors! It is SO disgusting and dirty….but as you all know, sometimes that is the sacrafice for edgy images! Anyway, I fully knew that only a certain kind of client would let me take their childen to this location…..so….I just decided to take my own! It was FREEZING….and my son’s attitude was what it usually is during shoots! Here are just a few!

When this breathtaking sikeston senior walked through my studio door, I knew that I had found a perfect senior rep! Not only does she have the perfect look, she also has the perfect personality for the job! It was freezing and muddy in all of our locations….but she was an absolute professional! She may just be a model in the making! ENJOY! PS…..don’t forget about the senior launch party at 7pm this Friday night!!
