The model that this gallery features has posed in engagement, trash the dress and now boudoir…..in the SNOW no less!! It was literally 15 degrees during this shoot…..and she actually was so comminted to my vision that she LAID IN THE SNOW! From the images she produced, you would truly have no idea she was cold at all! I was in sweats and UGGS and I was freezin! She was such a trooper and beautiful as always. Why would anyone do a boudoir shoot- you ask…..WELL….for numerous reasons. 1.) You are getting married and want to give your fiance’ a fabulous and unique gift before the wedding. 2.) You are already married, your husband’s birthday or Valentine’s Day is coming up and you have already bought him all of the “guy” gifts you can think of! 3.) When you are 55, you want to look back at images like this and remember what you once looked like! 4.) I use an airbrush tool that smooths skin to perfection and a liquify tool that sucks all kinds of flaws in…..It will be the BEST version of yourself! [PS.....this model did not need the liquify tool!!]

So…..we are all snowed/iced in for the next few days it seems! ps- I won’t be making it to the studio today! Anyway, unlike most normal people who just go out and play with their kids….I make my kids work. The pay is good, don’t worry! We had so much fun out there today! After shooting my kiddos, my crazy parents decided to sled down my huge hill together…..the proof of that is also attatched. So, stay warm, enjoy some hot cocoa and your manditory time off….for those of you too scared to brave the roads (like myself). =)

I shot this little girl when I shot the promo for the FC Sikeston Web site. As soon as I saw here hair- I had a vision….. We scheduled a full shoot for just her a few weeks later. This little girl is an amazing athlete and not only participates in “girl” friendly sports, like soccer and track, she also excels in sports that have been deemed “boy” sports, such as football and wrestling!! MY KIND OF GIRL! Beyond her many talents on the field and on the mats…..she also clearly has a talent in front of the camera. It was bitterly cold outside, but between her her bravery and my frozen fingers…..we made it happen! Here are a few sneak peaks from her shoot. ENJOY!
The open house extravaganza was held on Saturday, January 17th. We [the bella bambino team] were dressed in our Bella Bambino t-shirts with “TEAM BELLA” printed on the back. Before the doors opened at 6pm the jobs were set, I was maning the foyer table where everyone put their name in for a drawing for a 16×20 and had everyone sign in. Sarah was in charge of buzzing clients in and taking their coats to the playroom closet! After clients met with me to get the lowdown, they were ushered over to Stepanie the “bartender” who offered a variety of wines or BELLA BAMBINO’s signature drink….the COTTON CANDY COSMO! Then clients were coaxed into enjoying the abudance of treats available that ranged from cheesecake chimmychongas to fresh fruit and marshmellow dip all catered by CUP N’ CORK! Clients then perused the new studio and watched the slideshows playing on the big screen and sat down with one of the many bella bambino albums floating around. Heather hunted down any past client and had them draw a prize from the fishbowl for each “new” friend she brought with her. One client- Miss Lisa- brought 9 friends!!!!! She earned 9 amazing prizes! Heather also informed the past client about the “BELLA BAMBINO PHOTO CONTEST”. The past client was handed an SLR camera, told how to use it [in auto mode, of course =)] and told to photograph the people she invited. They could get as creative as they liked! AND….OH…..they listened!!! We had some crazy images!! The winner of the contest as well as the “honorable mentions” are posted below! The winner will receive an 11×14!
Now that I mapped out exactly how the night was run…..I must say that I was absolutely AMAZED at the turnout!!!! I turned around numerous times during the party and couldn’t believe how PACKED it was!! By the end of the night, we were out of wine, out of cosmos……and almost out of cheesecake chimmychongas! WE BOOKED 20 SHOOTS!! I cannot thank my clients enough for making the party such a success! It was an absolute blast! Below are a few party images, as well as the photo contest winner and runner ups!

I had SO much fun yesterday morning at the crack of dawn shooting some members of the FC SIKESTON SOCCER CLUB PROGRAM! We conducted this shoot for to fill their new, amazing website with fine-art soccer images! It was absolutely FREEZING and these poor kiddos had to suffer in short sleeves and shorts in the icy wind to make it happen! After I reminded them that models often have to suffer to create art- they made it happen! I designed the website for them as well!
